Hori Hori knife & planter
This multifunctional garden tool is a knife, saw, and digging implement. It can also be used for transplanting seedlings or as a measuring tool for planting bulbs (with cm and inch markings on the blade to measure planting depth).
The Hori Hori knife first appeared in Japan around the Middle Ages, in the 13th or 14th century. The word “Hori” means “to dig” in Japanese. With its curved, serrated, and razor-sharp blade, the knife is suitable for digging or cutting through roots and tough soil.
